This contemporary co-op was the first grocery store in Downtown Raleigh and the fourth location of the thriving Hillsborough-founded market.
First off, let’s talk about the location because it really couldn’t be better. Intimately embedded in the heart of the Warehouse District, when you shop at Weaver Street, you can turn your grocery run into a day of fun! Spend some time relaxing on the balcony overlooking bustling Hargett Street, sipping on one of the fresh juices or hot coffees from the coffee + juice bar. Relax on the outdoor patio and enjoy the sounds of your surrounding cityscape as you grab a quick bite from the food bar updated weekly.
Make sure you bring plenty of reusable bags - you’re going to end up leaving with more than you planned. Trust us - we’re pros at that, but we aren’t completely to blame! With weekly specials detailed in their weekly ad, there is always something new, unexpected and absolutely delectable to take home. This is especially thanks to the weekly “Weaver-Made” items, including specialty bites + brews made fresh in the store. (Tempted? Just know that this week they added their legendary Olive Herb Sourdough, NY Style Bagels, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Parfait to their weekly menu - don’t worry we’re drooling too).

This structure was intentional as the community ownership design guarantees that Weaver Street Market is reflective of and responsive to the fluctuating needs of the community.
Not to mention, you can be proud of your positive impact! From volunteer opportunities to donation drives - Weaver Street Market was designed around being more than an active community, but an advocate for each of its members. Notably, their “Round-Up” program raised a whopping $280,277 in 2020 for a variety of incredible organizations across the Triangle. A testament to the power of community, this wildly successful program is possible thanks to the everyday donations of shoppers.
